Reynolda Historic District Winston-Salem, NC - The Jaeger Company is working with Wake Forest University and Reynolda House Museum of American Art in the development of a Cultural Landscape Report (CLR) for the “shared historic landscape” of the Reynolda Historic District, 178 acres of the original R.J. Reynolds estate. The project is a significant undertaking occurring at an important time for the property as its centennial approaches. Known originally as Reynolda Farm, the property was envisioned by Katharine Smith Reynolds to be a self-sustaining model village. The ideals upon which Reynolda were founded and designed are reflected in the Reynolda Historic District today with continued public use and access to the formal gardens; the main house, which serves as an art museum and educational center; and the reuse of the supporting village as a mixture of economically viable commercial enterprises. The CLR will follow National Park Service guidelines and will provide recommendations for management, treatment and maintenance of the district and its resources.

National Park Service Multiple Projects - The Jaeger Company is currently working on several projects for the National Park Service as part of Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts. These include the following:

Boca Chita Historic District – A Cultural Landscape Inventory and Historic Structures Report for this small island off the Florida coast in Biscayne National Park that was a weekend and vacation retreat for wealthy Miami families in the 1930s – 50s and still serves as a popular recreation spot.

Historic Stone Guardwall Rehabilitation Project – Construction Documents for the repair and reconstruction of several miles of stone walls along the Blue Ridge Parkway in northern North Carolina. The stone guardwalls, most of which were built in the 1940s, are an important character-defining feature of the Parkway. All reconstructed walls will closely match their original appearance.

Moccasin Bend Visitor Center - Design Services for Predesign Documents for a proposed Visitors Center at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in Tennessee. The scope includes contextual analysis, programming and a charrette-style design workshop.

Fort Donelson Cultural Landscape Report - A Cultural Landscape Report for Fort Donelson National Battlefield in Dover, Tennessee. This Civil War battlefield was the site of the Union’s first major victory which led to the eventual fall of the Confederacy.

Young Harris College Stormwater and Landscape Master Plan • Young Harris, Georgia - Young Harris College is a private residential two-year liberal arts college located in Young Harris, Georgia, a small town in the Appalachian mountains of northern Georgia. The college is in the process of transitioning from a two-year institution to a four-year institution. The Jaeger Company is developing the Landscape portion of a Stormwater Management and Landscape Master Plan focusing on campus-wide landscape recommendations as well as developing landscape concepts for the primary land-use zones of campus and the major site components of those zones.

Central Hall Multi-Use Trail System • Hall County, Georgia - The Jaeger Company is currently leading a team of subconsultants to assist Hall County with the development of construction documents for two phases of a multi-use trail. The $2.35 million project includes the construction of over two and a half miles of paved trail and a pedestrian tunnel, which crosses beneath a state highway. The project is funded with monies from the Transportation Enhancement program, Federal High Priority Project fund, and a match from Hall County.
